History
Castello di Tricerchi, completed in 1441, is located on the northern slope of Montalcino and boasts a long winemaking tradition. The Squarcia family, direct descendants of the Tricerchi, currently manage the estate, dedicating themselves passionately to producing wines that reflect the authenticity of the territory.
Grapes used
- 100% Sangiovese
Production method
- Harvest: Manual harvesting with careful selection of grapes from the “Vigna del Castello” and “Vigna del Velo” vineyards.
- Vinification: Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 23°C, with a long maceration on the skins for about 30 days.
- Aging: Aged for at least 30 months in Slavonian oak barrels of 15 and 20 hl, followed by at least 8 months of bottle aging.

- Color: Clear, intense ruby red.
- Aroma: Complex and elegant, with notes of ripe cherry, chocolate, and tobacco, accompanied by spicy and floral nuances.
- Taste: Structured and persistent, with smooth tannins and a long, juicy finish, characterized by pronounced acidity that provides balance and longevity.
