History
The Il Sassolo winery, founded in 1972 by the Mannelli family, is located in Santa Cristina a Mezzana, in the heart of the Carmignano wine region. With a property extending over 14 hectares, 6 of which are dedicated to vineyards, the company produces wines that reflect the passion and respect for the territory, including the Barco Reale di Carmignano DOC, a wine that combines elegance and structure.

Production Method
The hand-harvested grapes undergo fermentation in stainless steel at controlled temperatures. Aging takes place in steel tanks, preserving the wine’s freshness and aromatic integrity.

Tasting Notes
Visually, it displays an intense ruby red color. The nose offers fine and ample fruity aromas, with vinous notes of good finesse and persistence, accompanied by complex sensations. On the palate, the attack is balanced and soft, with a harmonious sensation and good structure, finishing with sweet and soft tannins.
Pairing Suggestions
It pairs perfectly with typical Tuscan cured meats such as salami, lard, and finocchiona, as well as well-aged cheeses. Ideal with first courses based on meat or vegetables, such as legume soups or ribollita, and main courses of red meat.
