History
Claudio Cipressi is a pioneer in the recovery and enhancement of Tintilia, the main native Molise vine, producing wines with a slender and elegant character that are recognized and awarded by the main sector guides. Among these, Colle Quinto, an explosive and fragrant rosé, and two traditional variations aged in steel: Settevigne and Macchiarossa. The two white wines produced, the Falanghina Terre degli Osci and the Trebbiano Le Scoste, are also of great value. Thanks to Claudio Cipressi’s charisma and the quality of his wines, Tintilia and Molise are becoming an Italian enological revelation.

Tasting notes
Slightly pale red colour. On the nose notes of small red fruits, ripe currants and pomegranate seeds, with balsamic notes of peppermint and fir leaves and fine spices such as vanilla, cinnamon, cloves and black pepper. In the mouth it is mature, ample and enveloping, but still elegant, medium-bodied, closed by silky tannins and balanced acidity. The finish is long and spicy, very enveloping.
Possible combinations
Tintilia del Molise “Macchiarossa” is an extremely versatile wine. Its great elegance also makes it suitable for consumption by the glass or as a meditation wine. In combination, on the other hand, it is particularly suitable on first courses with spicy meat sauce, stews or second courses of red meat or game that are not too important but tasty.
