History
La Combarbia is a family-run farm located in Montepulciano, Tuscany. Founded in the 1960s by Novilio Mariani, the company is now led by Gabriele Florio, who in 2016 embarked on a path of renewal, combining local traditions with modern viticulture and winemaking techniques. The name “Combarbia” derives from the ancient Tuscan term indicating a meeting place, emphasizing the importance of conviviality and sharing in the local culture.

Production Method
The grapes, hand-harvested from vineyards located at about 300 meters above sea level in the Cervognano area, undergo spontaneous fermentation in steel for a period of 25-30 days. This process preserves the varietal characteristics of the grapes and best expresses the terroir of origin.

Tasting Notes
In appearance, the wine shows a dark and intense red color. On the nose, it offers a complex bouquet with notes of ripe red fruit, citrus, and floral hints of violet and rose. On the palate, it is dynamic and structured, with soft and round tannins accompanying a lingering and fresh finish.
