History
Castello di Tricerchi, completed in 1441, is located on the northern slope of Montalcino and boasts a long winemaking tradition. The Squarcia family, direct descendants of the Tricerchi, currently manage the estate, passionately producing wines that reflect the authenticity of the territory.
Grapes used
- 100% Sangiovese
Production method
- Harvest: Manual harvesting from vineyards approximately 20 years old, situated at an altitude of 250 meters, with southwest exposure.
- Vinification: Alcoholic fermentation for 25 days in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 23°C, with regular pump-overs.
- Aging: Approximately 12 months in 20 hl Slavonian oak barrels, followed by bottle aging for no less than 4 months.

- 14% vol.
Tasting notes
- Color: Bright ruby red.
- Aroma: Scents of small red fruits, black cherry, strawberry, and cherry, with light spicy and floral notes.
- Taste: Intense and balanced, with present yet elegant tannins and a persistent, mineral finish.

Pairs perfectly with pasta dishes featuring meat ragù, roasted white meats, semi-aged cheeses, and Tuscan cured meats.
