History
Destiny had written the meeting between Diamante and Antoine in the hot summer of 1976, when he was on vacation from Belgium and she from America. Their love was born suddenly, overwhelming and united by a deep common passion: wine. This passion led them to found the Villa Diamante farm in 1996. From that first meeting, they never separated again, until life itself, with its cruel unpredictability, suddenly deprived us of an exemplary father, a affectionate husband and a fundamental pillar for company and the enology of the Irpinia region. Her daughter decided to study oenology, to get her hands and boots dirty and to immerse herself in the vineyards to carry on, with the precious support of her mother Diamante, her father’s dream.

Production method
After a gentle pressing of the bunches, the resulting flower must is placed in stainless steel tanks, where it remains in contact with the fermentation lees for a prolonged period at a controlled temperature. We then proceed to a light clarification, filtration and bottling. An essential winemaking process involves aging for 11 months in stainless steel tanks, on the lees. Subsequently, after bottling, the wine continues to refine for a further 6 months before being marketed.

Tasting notes
Intense straw yellow colour. On the nose nuances of aromatic herbs and minerals. On the palate, a pleasant dryness is perceived, with a warm and soft character, combined with a well-balanced freshness and flavor. The body is full, the intensity remarkable and the persistence particularly appreciable.
Possible combinations
Excellent on fine white meats or tasty and medium-sized fish; the wine has great freshness and minerality that allow it to hold up even with intense flavors.
